I became part of PCM (Philippine Children’s Mission) in 2011 as a young child in Grade 3. At first, it was a joyful place filled with friends, fun, and learning. But over time, I began to feel the deep ache of missing my family. Still, God had a purpose for bringing me to PCM.

In 2015, I faced the most painful moment of my life—my father passed away just before my elementary graduation. I never got to say goodbye. That heartbreak led me to surrender everything to the Lord. In my sorrow, God met me. Through PCM, I came to know Jesus as my Lord and Savior. My life was transformed—hope replaced despair, and I began to dream again, now walking by faith.

The journey was never easy. I rose early, fulfilled duties, studied late, and sometimes went without sleep or meals. But God’s strength sustained me. I clung to Psalm 37:4: “Delight yourself in the Lord, and He will give you the desires of your heart.”

Now, by God’s grace, I’ve graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Information Technology, Magna Cum Laude. I return home not just with a diploma, but with a heart full of gratitude and a life changed by God’s faithfulness. All glory to Him.

I was ten years old when I came to PCM. My mother died due to complications of Goiter and my father left us for another woman. My grandmother took care of us five small kids. I was the eldest and my youngest sibling was still feeding on a bottle. It was not an easy task for my grandmother to raise five kids without means of income so she had to send me and my two brothers to PCM while she took care of my two small sisters. God really works in mysterious ways and He found a way to reach us.

My life was changed since I met our Lord Jesus Christ through the evangelical mission of PCM with the guidance of Lolo Fred and Lola Mar Dellota who became my inspiration to study hard. I surrendered my life to Christ and continue to trust Him ever since. In 2006, I graduated from college with a degree in Mechatronics Engineering. I am now currently working in Dubai, married and blessed with two kids.

Life is not always easy. It teaches us to face pain with courage and hold on to hope. I was blessed with a loving family—my father, a hardworking ice cream vendor, and my mother, a caring homemaker. But everything changed when my father tragically died due to a planted grenade at a friend’s burial. Our world fell apart.

My mother bore the burden alone, working tirelessly until her health failed. My older brother and I worked to survive—I sold ice candy under the scorching sun, rugs at jeepney terminals, and dolls in the mornings before school. Yet, we still lacked enough.

Then God opened a door through The Philippine Children’s Mission (PCM). At age nine, my brother and I were entrusted to their care. Though it was painful to be away from my family, I knew I had to endure for a better future.

PCM didn’t just provide shelter—they led me to Jesus Christ. Through the guidance of Pastor Nelson, Mommy Arlyn, Ate Elen, and Tito Ronnie Dellota, I received Yeshua as my Savior. God’s plan unfolded, and in 2019, I finished my Bachelor of Elementary Education. Today, I am grateful, transformed, and walking in God’s purpose.

Every child has a dream—to become a teacher, doctor, or engineer—but for many, poverty makes these dreams seem unreachable. My family was one of them. I thank God for the Philippine Children’s Mission (PCM), which gave me the opportunity not just to study, but to discover my purpose in Him.

When I first arrived at PCM, I felt abandoned, unloved, and confused. I wondered why my parents left me in what I thought was just an orphanage. But after a few years, everything changed. Through the love and guidance I received, I accepted Yeshua ha’Mashiah (Jesus the Messiah) as my Lord and Savior. Knowing Him brought peace to my heart and clarity to my purpose. God replaced my pain with His word, and taught me to trust Him even when life didn’t make sense.

At PCM, I grew spiritually and learned life skills and discipline. God refined my character through every struggle. Now, what was once only a dream—to study and graduate—is now a reality.

I thank God above all, and also PCM and its donors for being His instruments. Because of their support, I was able to pursue college and walk in the path God prepared for me.

At age 6, my mother sent me to live with my Lola, who was already caring for my two older brothers. Life was hard—my Lola had no income, and we relied on whatever our uncles could give. I still remember the times she had to borrow money just so we could eat. Then my eldest brother was brought to the Philippine Children’s Mission (PCM). After visiting him, my Lola would say how good life was there—needs were provided, and schooling was supported. When she asked if I wanted to go too, I immediately said yes.

At 10, I entered PCM. Living away from my family was difficult. There were moments when I wanted to give up and just go home. But I held on to a dream—to finish school and help my family. By God’s grace, I earned a degree in Business Administration.

PCM did more than provide for my physical and educational needs. Here, I met Jesus Christ. I accepted Jesus Christ during my stay here in PCM with the help of God’s Glory Church. PCM shaped my whole being—especially my spiritual life. I will always be grateful to God for using PCM as His instrument to transform my life.
